GHOST STEALTH SHIP

 

Juliet Marine systems, Inc. have announced the secrecy orders that previously prevented photographs being shown of its GHOST stealth ship have been lifted, revealing it to the public for the first time.

GHOST Stealth Ship Technology

The GHOST stealth ship has been made less visable to radar in the same way aircraft stealth technology was developed, by bouncing radar waves away preventing the radar from receiving a signal back. As seen in the photograph,

its hull has similar qualities to the famous stealth bombers of the USAF.

Another great quality that will make the ship attractive to navies will be the high speeds which can be achieved by using an effect called supercavitation. This is where its doubled-hulled design generates and surrounds itself with a layer of gas greatly reducing friction making top speeds of 60MPH / 52 knots achievable. Current naval applications using supercavitation include the high speed russian torpedo the Shkval.

The GHOST ship technology can be applied and adapted to unmanned or manned, surface or submerged applications. The technology could also be used in the commercial shipping industry providing substantial fuel savings using hull friction reduction supercavitation

GHOST Ship Missions

The technology and design of the GHOST ship would be ideal for missions close to the coast and special ops teams due to its high speed and stealth characteristics.

Currently submarines are used in a number of missions due to their low profile, however the GHOST ship would give more tactical advantages and could bring more supporting firepower for the special ops team.

One of the most common uses for the GHOST could see it protecting larger navy vessels from swarm attacks. The high speed of the small vessel would help protect larger aircraft carriers from suicide missions which are currently hard to prevent.

In 2000 the USS Cole in Yemen was attacked and its only defence was a .50 caliber machine gun. A squadron of GHOSTs would free up supporting naval vessels such as destroyers and cruisers as the GHOST has been specifically designed for fleet forces protection.

In addition to defending naval vessels the GHOST could help protect commercial shipping and help in anti piracy missions. Currently pirate attacks cost the US government $1.5 billion each year.

At present Juliet Marine systems, Inc.are in discussions to plan a larger Corvette sized vessel to be built with a large international defense company.
