Kelvin Hughes, a British radar maker, presented a solid-state sensor designed for rigid inflatable boats and other small craft suitable for use by special forces in covert missions, a company executive said.
The small-craft variant radar is equipped with a 26-inch radome and a ruggedized display, and uses I band radar technology, Jonathan Field, director of security sensors and systems at Kelvin Hughes Surveillance, told journalists at the Defense & Security Equipment International show, which opened Sept. 13.

The sensor is intended to give a clear operational picture in a cluttered environment for operators of craft shorter than 30 meters.
The compact naval model uses the same SharpEye radar technology as used in a land version, dubbed the Boxer, which also has anti-jamming capabilities.
